This website
eastoftampa.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising pixels and includes no third-party tracking scripts. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or rent anything about you to anyone.
Cloudflare, which hosts and serves the site, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs for marketing.
The newsletter
The East of Tampa newsletter is delivered by beehiiv. If you subscribe, beehiiv stores your email address and standard email engagement data (whether a message was opened, which links were clicked) on our behalf. We use that only to send and improve the newsletter. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you immediately.
If you contact us
If you email us or send a message through the site, we keep what you sent so we can reply and, where relevant, keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to the newsletter because you contacted us.
Advertisers and directory listings
Directory listings describe businesses that advertise with us. Business contact details on those pages are published with the business's permission. We do not pass reader information to advertisers.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. High school sports coverage names student athletes in a news context only, and we remove a name on request from the athlete or a parent.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, and you can ask us to delete anything we hold about you by emailing team@eastoftampa.com. We will confirm when it is done.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it and the change is noted in the newsletter.
