Retargeting ads for east Hillsborough businesses

Most people do not call the first time they find you. Retargeting keeps your business in front of the people who already visited your site or watched your video, so you are the one they remember.

Why most people do not call the first time

Someone in Riverview sees your video while scrolling at lunch. They like it. Then their kid calls, they put the phone down and forget your name. A week later the need comes back, and they call whoever shows up first.

That happens to every local business. Retargeting fixes part of it. It shows your ads only to people who already found you: visited your site, watched your video, engaged with your page. You stay in front of the people most likely to call, for a lot less than reaching strangers over and over.

This is the Retargeting move in Level 5: Famous of our Become Locally Famous framework. It sits at the top on purpose.

Retargeting only works when there is something to retarget. If nobody visits your site and nobody watches your videos, the audience is too small to matter. That is why we build from the bottom up.

If the earlier levels are thin, we will tell you, and we will start there instead of selling you ads that have nobody to reach.

Who we retarget and what they see

  • Website visitors. People who visited your site, using the Meta pixel installed on your website. We can split them by page, so someone who looked at your pricing page sees a different ad than someone who read your blog.
  • Video viewers. People who watched a meaningful part of one of your Reels or videos on Facebook or Instagram. They already know your face and your work.
  • Page engagers. People who followed, liked, commented on or messaged your Facebook or Instagram page.
  • Lead form openers. People who started a Meta lead form and did not finish it.

Everything runs inside your own Meta Business account. You own the ad account, the pixel and the audiences. If we ever part ways, it all stays with you.

Retargeting ads should feel like the next step, not the first pitch. These people already know who you are. So the ads are short and direct:

  • A review from a real customer and a "call now" button.
  • A face-to-camera clip of you answering the question that stops most people from calling.
  • A clear, simple offer with a date on it.
  • A before and after from a real job in their town.

We cap how often people see them and how long we keep showing them. The goal is to be remembered, not to follow someone around the internet for months.

Setting it up the right way

Most retargeting problems start with setup, not with the ads. A pixel that was never installed, installed twice, or left on an old website means the audience is wrong or empty. Before we spend a dollar, we check the basics:

  • The pixel. Installed once, on every page, firing correctly. If you already have one from a past agency, we check it before we build on it.
  • The audiences. Built from the right sources, with time windows that fit how long your customers take to decide. A pressure washing job and a dental practice are not the same buying cycle.
  • The location. Kept to the towns you actually serve, so you are not paying to remind someone in another state who found your video by accident.
  • The follow-up. Someone ready to answer the call or the lead fast. A retargeting ad that brings a customer back to a phone nobody picks up is wasted money.

How it pairs with Facebook ads

Retargeting is usually one part of a full Meta ads setup. Cold ads find new people in the towns you serve. Retargeting brings back the ones who showed interest. We run both through Facebook ads management, against cost per lead, not likes.

For one client, a Meta ads rebuild took cost per lead from $10.70 to $5.69 in six days. That was an ads result for one business, not a retargeting-only result and not a promise. It shows the kind of numbers we watch. More on the case studies page.

What it costs

Your ad spend goes directly to Meta on your own card. Our management fee is quoted after a call, based on how much you plan to spend and how many audiences make sense for your business. We will also tell you if your audiences are too small to bother with yet.

Questions owners ask

What are retargeting ads?

Retargeting ads are shown only to people who have already interacted with your business, like visiting your website or watching one of your videos. Instead of reaching strangers, you remind people who already showed interest.

How does Facebook retargeting work for a local business?

Meta lets you build audiences from people who visited your site (using the Meta pixel on your website) or engaged with your Facebook and Instagram content. We show those people a short ad with a clear next step, like call, book or get a quote.

How much do retargeting ads cost?

There are two parts. Your ad spend goes straight to Meta on your own card. Our management fee is quoted after a call. Retargeting audiences are small, so the spend is often modest compared to cold ads. Call 813-495-2136 for a straight number.

Is retargeting creepy?

Done badly, it can be. We keep it light: a few ads, a limited time window and offers that are useful, not pushy. People should remember you, not feel followed.

Do I need a website for retargeting?

Not strictly. You can retarget people who watched your videos or engaged with your Facebook and Instagram pages without a website. A website with the Meta pixel installed gives you a second, often stronger audience.
